At Perry, we focus on ensuring that all students are learning and achieving at high levels. Using the Iowa Core as the foundation, teachers challenge students with rigorous learning experiences while creating and maintaining a safe and supportive environment. Perry educators work year-round to improve their skills and knowledge in order to make this happen.

Our district goals as identified by the School Board and community include:

  1. Demonstrate growth in student learning.
  2. Secure and manage financial resources responsibly.
  3. Provide each staff member with targeted staff development.
  4. Communicate and collaborate effectively with all stake-holders.

Teaching & Learning oversees a variety of programs and services throughout the school district, including the Annual Progress Report and the Comprehensive Improvement Plan, curriculum for all content areas and grade levels, Iowa Assessments, Iowa Core, Talented and Gifted, Section 504, seeking grants and forming partnerships, professional learning for all educators in the district, etc.
