On April 10-11th the Iowa TSA state conference was held in Altoona.  Perry High School was represented very well by all the students  who have worked hard all year. 


Our podium winners are the following:


Gabe Ridnour- 3rd Place 3D Cadd

David Santacruz- 1st place CO2 Dragster Design

Emilio Gonzalez and Brandon Ruiz- 2nd Place Technology Problem Solving

The team of Zak Olsen, Jacob Murillo, and Jacob Quijas- 2nd Place in Radio Controlled Transportation

The team of TJ Sheehy, Angel Escobar, and Devin Patrick- 1st place in Radio Controlled Transportation


In addition, the memory of Darin Steva was honored at the awards ceremony by TSA.  A $100 donation at the visitation was given and a laser etched plaque was made for his 18 years of being a TSA Advisor and a member of the TSA Board of Directors.

New Vaccination Requirement

For the 2017-2018 school year, and all future school years, all students entering, advancing, or transferring into 7th grade and born after September 15, 2004 will need proof of one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MenACWY).  All students entering, advancing, or transferring into 12th grade and born after September 15, 1999 will  need proof of two doses of meningococcal (A,C,W,Y) vaccine; or 1 dose if received when the student was 16 years of age or older.  Also need the T-Dap booster.

Many thanks to the citizens of Perry for the “Overwhelming” support Perry Community Schools received yesterday!  The PPEL (Physical Plant & Equipment Levy) is renewed for another 10 years!  This Levy passed with 88% approval.  WOW!
